Tamara Fisicaro, MD

Dr. Tamara Fisicaro is an Internal Medicine specialist whose expertise is in caring for patients with chronic health conditions. This includes heart disease, diabetes, chronic lung diseases, hypertension, kidney disease, liver disease, blood disorders, rheumatologic disorders, and gastrointestinal diseases.

Dr. Fisicaro grew up in Gloucester Township, New Jersey. She attended Paul VI High School and the Rock School for Dance Education. After graduating from high school, she joined Cleveland-San Jose Ballet as a professional ballet dancer. She danced with Cleveland Ballet for four years.

After her dance career, Dr. Fisicaro returned to the Philadelphia area for her graduate education at Saint Joseph's University. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine degree from Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Fisicaro completed her residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where she was also chosen to serve as Chief Medical Resident.

Dr. Fisicaro belongs to a family of local physicians including her father Dr. John DelGiorno and brother Dr. Joseph DelGiorno, Pediatricians with Advocare; her brother Dr. Charles DelGiorno an Endocrinologist with Advocare; her brother Dr. Thomas C. DelGiorno a Pennsylvania nephrologist; and her uncle Dr. Thomas G. DelGiorno, a retired family physician. She and her husband Marc, an anesthesiologist, reside in South Jersey with their two daughters.
