Lorenza Frisoni, MD

Dr. Lorenza Frisoni is an Internal Medicine physician that specializes in the care of patients with multiple medical problems, preventive medicine, care of the elderly, and women's health.

Dr. Frisoni grew up on the Northern Coast of Italy and received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Bologna, which is considered the oldest University in the world. While studying Pharmacy and Pharmacology, she competed in both amateur and semi-professional volleyball leagues.

Dr. Frisoni moved to Philadelphia in 1999 to pursue her interest in basic science research. During this time she worked at Thomas Jefferson University and the University of Pennsylvania as a basic science researcher. In 2007, Dr. Frisoni was accepted to the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and began her medical training. Upon graduating medical school in 2011, she continued her training in Internal Medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. During her medical school and residency, Dr. Frisoni participated in several humanitarian medical missions in regions of Bolivia, Honduras, and South Africa where she treated patients with HIV, malaria, tuberculosis, and other endemic infections.

Along with a truly international perspective, Dr. Frisoni brings a passion and an enthusiasm for providing excellent care to patients in the local community.
